Uninstall SAV without an uninstall password

If you find yourself needing to uninstall Symantec AntiVirus and you don’t know the password…. or perhaps you want to script an uninstall (which you can specificy a password on the command line) there is a way.
Just modify this key:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Administrator Only\Security"
and set "useVPuninstallpassword"="0"
You don’t need to reboot.  Once you make this change will be be able to uninstall Symantec Antivirus without a password.  You can even now script the uninstall as it will no longer ask for a password.
